Smith Flooring manages forests with future generations in mind, practicing what is called sustainable forestry. This means we grow, manage, and harvest trees while preserving soil, air and water quality, fish and wildlife habitat, and the beauty of the forest itself.

We believe that forest owners have a responsibility to be good stewards of the land, and we voluntarily follow Best Management practices on harvest sites.

Our FSC line of flooring is a great choice for your green building needs and is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, an organization whose mission is to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests.
