The Smith Family
Smith Flooring began as Padgett-Smith Flooring in 1946 when Viandel “Spider” Smith left Cloud Oak Flooring and started his own flooring plant partnering with local businessman Ralph Padgett. In 1960 Spider purchased Padgett’s interest in the plant and by the mid 1970s Spider sold out to his son Van and retired.
A family company in its 3rd generation, Smith Flooring continues to produce quality, made in the USA products for the housing market and wood pellets for home heating. We also farm a little and raise Angus cattle.
Still made the same way as it was in 1946, with materials from local forests, Smith Flooring will be a part of your home for generations.
